NZ feature bazaar 09

Squiz NZ held their annual MySource Matrix user workshop last week. This year, they also held their own feature bazaar so those MySource Matrix users in New Zealand who were unable to attend this year's international user conference were still able to influence the direction of the CMS.

Plenty was on offer at the bazaar and Squiz NZ funded a total of $67,000 worth of development that is now heading for the MySource Matrix GPL release.

The following features were sold:

  • Getting the What's New page to list assets based on current date ranges, like "current week"
  • A new cron job to delete expired cache entries and save some server space
  • A "Tweet This" trigger
  • A usage screen for metadata and workflow schemas
  • Allowing workflow notes to be included in the workflow emails
  • XSLT transformations in the XML data source

Great feature suggestions from our friends in New Zealand and a list that will be of interest to all MySource Matrix clients.
